With illegal download sites crashing all over Asia and bigger name stars falling by the wayside on the band’s way up the charts, some would say that times must be good for Korean group “Brown Eyed Girls”. Surprisingly however, they’ve been taking alot of flack for performances the critics have been labeling “suggestive”, and “erotic”, among other things. Word on the street though is that fans have been enjoying the change of image, with the only complaint being of time wasted hitting the replay button a tad bit too many times..

I seem to get a teaser video for upcoming artists every other day, most of which are good but lack that special something. That was until a few days ago when I received..
Pure as the Korean driven snow SNSD shocked audiences recently with a performance so sexy that EVERYONE in Korea’s music industry seemed to be talking about it for days afterwards. For a tiny minority, the temporary change of image wasn’t their cup of tea, but by the looks on the faces of most of those assembled..the performance couldn’t have been more welcomed.
After a seemingly never ending run-up to their official debut, many in the Asian music industry thought that Korean group ‘After School’ would most surely disappoint. But that ended up being far from the case, and the group is already being hailed as Korea’s very own version of the ‘Pussycat Dolls’. To say that expectations were exceeded during their first live performance can’t be overstated enough..Pledis Entertainment (the producers behind the groups success) really hit a home run on this one.
With many artists around the globe starting YouTube channels of late, I’ve been long waiting for some of the more popular artists of Asia to follow suit. Fortunately, the wait hasn’t been long after Korean group “Wonder Girls” recently joined the YouTube frey. Fans of the Korean group Wonder Girls were given a treat recently when during a radio interview there was discussion about Lee Hyori’s dance moves in her latest video “U-Go-Girl”. After each girl demonstrated the moves using their hands, it apparently brought so much delight to online fans (particularly member So Hee’s rendition) that it quickly became one of the most sought after video’s in Asia, and remained so for several days afterwards..

Japanese rock band L’Arc-en-Ciel recently launched one of the nicest MySpace pages I’ve seen in awhile, just before they kicked off their current world tour. Although the international leg of the tour is over, you can still catch them at the Tokyo Dome May 31, June 1, and 3, and at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome June 7, and 8.
