Japanese rock band ‘Do As Infinity’ announced that they are officially breaking up. The members have decided to pursue individual projects at this time. They do, however, plan to get together for one final concert November 25, 2005 at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

Ayumi Hamasaki won two unusual accolades this month: “Best Jeanist” an award given to the celebrity who best represents denim fashion through their look and style. She also won “Japan’s Best Dresser Eyes” and was presented with an award for her fashionable use of sunglasses in 2005.
Speaking of Ayumi Hamasaki, last issue we reported that the Asian pop star promised to return to Hokkaido shortly after canceling a concert in the city due to illness. Just a few weeks later, she surprised everyone by making an appearance at a local Hokkaido radio station. Five thousand fans turned out to get a glimpse of her, and all seemed quite appreciative that she kept her promise to return to their beloved city.
Koda Kumi’s record label Avex Trax created quite a frenzy recently after having organized a photo shoot in a high traffic pedestrian area near Shibuya station. Koda got plenty of attention for being a famous Japanese pop star of course, but according to reports, her sexy wardrobe contributed quite a bit to the excitement as well.
As the Asian music market expands in China, many artist management agencies are preparing their clients for the coming opportunities within the country. Korean singer BoA has said in a recent interview, that she’s learning Chinese and is already using it in some of her upcoming singles. She went on to say that she believes the Chinese market is going to be huge, and her and her management team think that mastering the Chinese language is a good investment for the future.
